EDUCATION
Todd graduated magna cum laude from the Texas Tech University School of Law and then went on to a clerkship with the Texas Supreme Court. He initially was a personal injury defense attorney working under Bob Vial at Vial, Hamilton in Dallas and then formed his own plaintiff’s personal injury firm in 1995. Since then, Todd Clement has specialized in catastrophic trucking and commercial vehicle cases.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Every year since 2009, Todd has been named among the Best Personal Injury Lawyers in Dallas in D Magazine and a Superlawyer. In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, he was named to the Superlawyer Top 100 DFW list for all lawyers regardless of specialty. Todd served as the 2014 president of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association. Todd has been the Chairmen of the TTLA Listserve Committee and a member of TTLA’s Executive Committee since 2006.

MEDIA AND SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Todd’s safety mission extends beyond the courtroom. Several years ago, he represented a family who lost two loved ones due to a commercial driver who was texting. During the course of the litigation, Todd retained the leading distracted driving experts in the country and spent many hours of self-study. After a successful resolution of the case, he committed to use his expertise as an agent for positive change. Todd has become the featured legal liability speaker for the National Safety Council, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Texas Department of Transportation and at distracted driving summits nationwide influencing employers to ban cell phone use while driving on the job. His safety crusade has been highlighted in The Dallas Morning News, The Washington Post, on NBC Nightly News and in many industry safety publications.
Todd is a frequent TTLA and Texas State Bar speaker on trucking, trial tactics, catastrophic injuries and distracted driving.
