Kevin F. Dugan receives the NHTLA President's Award

The President's Award is given annually to the individual who, in the opinion of the President, has been of outstanding service to the Association and of particular help to the president of the year of the award. The award is not limited to members of the Association but may be presented to anyone who assists the Association in achieving its objectives for that year.

Kevin F. Dugan of Abramson, Brown, & Dugan in Manchester is this year's recipient of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association President's Award, presented by Paul A. Maggiotto, of Concord, who has served as President this past year.

Attorney Dugan has been the Legislative Chair for the last three years. Before that he was President from 1999-2000 and before that, served as Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association.

Attorney Dugan received his J.D. from Stetson Law School in 1985. He is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Florida and New Hampshire Bar Associations, and a sustaining member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also Of Counsel to the Florida firm of Masterson, P.A. in St. Petersburg. His primary area of practice is representing plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.

Attorney Dugan was recently listed as "a rising star" on the PoliticsNH.com Power List 2003 (Bartlett Report), which identifies New Hampshire's 30 most politically influential personalities. He was further described as "…the first trial lawyer to successfully convince the legislature that lawyers are not the evil doers most believe they are. It was his attitude that accomplished compromise in the 'loss of opportunity' bill."
