Nicholas D. Brown receives the NHTLA Board of Governors Award

 

 
 

The Board of Governors Award is presented to a member of NHTLA who has demonstrated exemplary support of the Association and its goals over an extended period of time through the volunteering of his or her time and expertise and/or financial support.

This year, the Board of Governors Award was presented to Nicholas D. Brown of Hall, Stewart, Murphy, Brown and Hutchins P.A. in Manchester for his untiring promotion of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association Annual Golf Tournament, the primary fundraising event for the association.

Attorney Brown is a recent past president (2001-2002) of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association. Before becoming President of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association in 2001, he served as Governor for Hillsborough County, Secretary, Treasurer, and President-elect. He has been active on the Legislative, Public Education and Executive Committees; began chairing the annual golf tournament only a few years after it began; and has continued to chair it for over the last five years. Attorney Brown is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and a member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Bar Associations.

He is a 1981 graduate of Boston College and earned his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1984. A former prosecutor and NH Superior Court law clerk, he now concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury law, workers' compensation, social security disability, and criminal defense.
