Ellen joined NHAJ in April of 2008 after spending 8.5 years as the President of the Children's Alliance of New Hampshire.  Ms. Shemitz is responsible for all strategic planning, program development, public relations and organizational development.

Ellen received her undergraduate degree and J.D. from Yale University.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of New Hampshire Healthy Kids.

Martha Lovejoy joined our staff as Office and Finance Manager in December 2009. Ms. Lovejoy brings nearly 25 years of non-profit administrative experience to NHAJ. For NHAJ she provides administrative support and oversight of the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Martha received her Master’s in Arts Administration from the Wisconsin School of Business at UW-Madison and a bachelor degree in Art History from UNH. She has held key administrative positions at the Harvard University Art Museums, Wisconsin Arts Board, League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and The Farnum Center.
